Counterterrorism Concedes to Political Correctness

Six months ago, the growing surrender in the war of ideas by America's counterterrorism community was seen by the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) memorandum endorsing the DHS "terror lexicon" prohibiting the use of the terms such as "Jihad," "Islamist," and "mujahedeen." This milestone was part of a trend that has been growing for nearly two years. These are key terms in counterterrorism. The terrorists' Islamic doctrines are vital to knowing who the enemy is, what they're up to, and how to stop them.

In addition, an increasing number of counterterrorist organizations have been promoting analysts who support negotiations, rather than confrontation, with Islamic supremacists, and some voices are being marginalized or silenced. This growing surrender will require American citizens to increase their activism in demanding that their government representatives confront Jihad and Islamic supremacism. Find out what you can do to help.

Thank you, Anonymous. DhimmiWatch is an excellent resource. I have added it to the "Further Reading" section at the bottom of each page.

What about a list of all the times and of all the people who have been persecuted and prosecuted for exercising their right to freedom of expression by speaking out about islam (in the West)?

Anonymous, THAT would be a powerful list. If you put it together, I will post it. Or you'll have to wait until I get around to it, and given how much I'm doing now, it may be awhile.

But I think it is a GREAT idea. It would be a useful list to have to demonstrate to our fellow Westerners how Islam can successfully stifle free speech even when they are still a small minority.

"Furthermore, in the past year, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) has sent memoranda that recommend that government employees not use such terms as 'Jihad' or 'Islamism' when communicating on terrorism. The current preferred, inoffensive term for the enemy is 'extremists.' You will see that term used by our Defense Department in its latest 2008 National Defense Strategy, and it is the term our major government and military leaders use most of the time. We have gone from a 'war on terrorism' to a 'war on extremism,' but we still have no coherent, official definition of the enemy's ideology that we are fighting. When we are this far into a war where our government leaders can't define the enemy any more clearly than just 'extremists,' we have a bigger problem than 'extremists.'

"What is not being addressed by our government leadership is that we are engaged in an ideological war, a war of ideas. This war of ideas is what Jihadist terror tactics are based on. But this war of ideas goes beyond the tactics of terrorism alone. Our enemy's war on America is also using economic tactics, propaganda tactics, political tactics, demographic tactics, and many other tactics. If we don't honestly acknowledge and address this ideological war, all of our preparedness efforts to protect America will be undermined by other tactics by the enemy to influence and infiltrate America and our government. Moreover, our specific homeland security measures can be compromised by failing to acknowledge and identify our enemy. We cannot win a war without a defined enemy and a comprehensive, multi-faceted strategy to defeat that enemy."

Oh yeah and now we have a new president who wants to talk and have respect for islam and it's adherents.
Bad news from Obama's Inaugural address:

Quotes from Obama’s inaugural speech:

“For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of ‘Christians’ and Muslims, ‘Jews’ and ‘Hindus’ — and ‘non-believers.’ ”
AND:
“To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect.”

Just what kind of mutual interest and mutual respect can we there be with people who profess this?
Quotes from the Koran:
--The unbelievers are your inveterate enemy. (4:101)
-- Surely the vilest of animals in Allah’s sight are those who disbelieve. (8.55)
-- Mohammed is God's apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another. (48:29).
-- It is unlawful for a believer to kill another believer, accidents excepted. (4:92)
-- Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. (5:51)
-- Make war on them until idolatry shall cease and God's religion shall reign supreme. (8:40)
-- Fight against them until idolatry is no more and God's religion reigns supreme. (2:193)
-- The true believers fight for the cause of God, but the infidels fight for the devil. (4:76)
-- We will put terror into the hearts of the unbelievers. (3:151)
-- I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the very tips of their fingers. (8:12)
Quotes from the sayings of mohammed:
Muhammad said to the Jews: "If you embrace Islam, you will be safe. You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle, and I want to expel you from this land. “
Sahih Bukhari [4:52:176] Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:
Allah's Apostle said, "You (i.e. Muslims) will fight with the Jews till some of them will hide behind stones. The stones will (betray them) saying, 'O 'Abdullah (i.e. slave of Allah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me; so kill him.' "

Mohammed said, "I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.." (otherwise it will not). Vol. 4:196
Mohammed said, "Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him." Vol. 9:57
Mohammed said, " No Muslim should be killed for killing a Kafir" (infidel). Vol. 9:50
Muhammad said:
Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war, …(Sahih Muslim 4294)
YUSUF QARADAWI, the spiritual leader of the Muslim brotherhood and the most popular and influential Islamic religious authority in the world today, is on the recommended reading list of local mosques. Among other Islamist-supremacist things, he wrote:
“Islam came to be followed, not to follow; to be dominant, not subordinate."
“Islam came with its complete, comprehensive and eternal sharia (law) for the whole of mankind.”
ABUL MAUDUDI, the most important and popular Islamic writer of the 20th Century, wrote: “The goal of Islam is to rule the entire world and submit all of mankind to the faith of Islam. Any nation or power that gets in the way of that goal, Islam will fight and destroy.”

The statements about Islam above are from the most highly revered and respected Islamic sources, not from "Islamophobes"!
Doe he agree with these statements?
Does he disagree with them?
Does he even know about them?
Isn't it part of his duties as president with loyalty to the United States of America and it’s Constitution to know about Islam?

Setting Precedents

As Robert Spencer put it: "...it's a small accommodation in itself, but it reinforces the precedent that American practices must give way to Muslim ones whenever they clash. Once that precedent is set, it does indeed lead to the Islamization of American society, unless at a certain point non-Muslims are willing to draw the line and say 'Thus far, but no farther. No more accommodation of Muslim demands.' That line will never be drawn, however, as long as Americans continue to fail to see the larger implications and inevitable outcome of these individual incidents."
